Environmental Protection Policy
Statement of Intent
It is the policy of Giles Landscapes Ltd to consider the management of the environment to be an integral part of the overall management of the Company. This is to be achieved by sustaining and developing policies, programmes and best practices as follows by;
- Providing suitable control measures and regular appraisals so as to become more efficient in environmental best available techniques not entailing excessive cost. (BATNEEC)
- Ensuring that the company meets or exceeds the requirements of all current and future environmental legislation/regulations
- Ensuring all employees carry out their legal duties and co-operate with company planned procedures based on best practices to meet the company’s corporate responsibilities
- Ensure our company’s activities minimise the effect on the environment through the use of energy, fuel, and the selection of appropriate materials, components and chemicals
- Informing and training employees so as they will carry out their activity maintaining a continued respect for ecological matters
- Ensuring employees’ health and safety at work, providing the best service for our clients and the most protection for the environment. Information will also be given to clients, on the work the company has to carry out, so that they may continue to operate in an environmentally friendly manner.
- Dealing with wet and dry waste materials arising from our activities effectively. Where ever possible segregating this waste with the view of recycling or else have it collected by an authorised collector
